In chilly winter months, plug in the power and keep the water from freezing. The resilient polymer design is easy to clean, and it withstands climate extremes, too. Within the bird bath basin, the heating element is completely hidden beneath the surface of the bath, where it automatically provides birds with an open area for bathing in temperatures as low as -20 degrees Fahrenheit. This heated bird bath also supplies ice-free water all winter long using 150 watts of thermostatically controlled power. Add sand or gravel to the hollow pedestal for weighting. Made in the USA.
