          This is my second of such birdbaths. The last one lasted 5 years and suffered racoons and turkeys assaulting it and continue to operate. The bird still use it but I wanted to install a second. Solid construction and once mounted works well.

          The EZ_Tilt B-Bath, was very easy to install. I did not install it on a deck, but retro fitted it to a metal (steel) structure that was supposed to be a plant hanger. I did have to drill 2 holes into the Base or Bottom Plate Opposite from the other 2 existing holes. I mounted it on a 2x6 piece of wood and had it up within 1 hour. this B-Bath is over 6' from the ground, and I made it squirrel proof!!!

          Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

                Unable to obtain input from the birds who have been using it. Based on initial observations, it does appear that most do indeed bathe in it, and others drink the bathwater. Yuk for us, great for them.

                Q1: On the non-heated bath bowl, does the mounting bracket work with very thick rails, such as ones 5" height by 6" across?

                A: According to the manufacturer, the mounting hardware will only fit railings that are 2 inches thick x 4 inches wide.

                Q2: Can this birdbath be used on an existing stone birdbath base?

                A: No you cannot use it on an existing base because of the hardware it has on the bottom which is used to attach it to a deck railing.
