Securing hardware
Always a magical sight, hummingbirds have a loyal following. This bath celebrates your favorite type of bird, while attracting others in your neighborhood. Cast aluminum bowl features wide textured lip with hummers feeding from opened blooms. A pair of decoy birds wait for others to alight. The wide lip and shallow bowl of the bath encourages feathered neighbors to stop by and refresh as do the three dimensional birds resting on the edge.
The textured bowl offers birds many surfaces to rub against and clean up with. Celebrating fascinating flight and flowers, the stand and base continues the decorative theme. Decorated column rises from a rounded, circular base to support the bowl. Assembly is simple and requires only two tools: a Phillips screwdriver and a wrench. Fastening hardware is stainless steel. Estimated time of assembly is 30 minutes.

The assembly hardware definetly could have been better. The picture shown is at an angle where you don't see this. A hex bolt with a cheesy looking plastic cover sticking out the side, I replaced mine with a set screw. The studs and hex nut on the bowl were replaced with round head screws. I know these cost a little more, but for the price charged, it should have been included.

Comments about Oakland Living Hummingbird Bird Bath:
The stem comes in two pieces. It is held together by a single set screw. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN. The stem metal is relatively soft and susceptible to stripping. The seating of the pieces when placed together are not a snug fit due to bad molding of the pieces. Additional set screws would have helped to ensure the stem is aligned and held vertical. Even the cheapest lamp fixtures have three set screws. If you strip the metal of the stem hole, get the next largest diameter bolt at a hardware store and retry. While the assembly of the birdbath is not rocket science, the directions are pathetic.

This bird bath makes a great addition to a yard set up for bird lovers. Added to the bird feeders, houses, hummer feeders, beautiful wind-chimes it fits in wonderfully. Gave as gift to Mother and she could not be happier.

Comments about Oakland Living Hummingbird Bird Bath:
The stand is in two parts with one piece inserting into another to make the 'pole' between the base and bowl. That insert seemed a bit sloppy and when you tighten it up with the screw, it makes the pole a little off center. I wrapped some duct tape around the insert so you can't see it and it straightened it up.
