Description

The Universal Bird Bath provides a clean and simplistic design that will fit nicely in any environment. Because of the beauty of its classic lines, it will make the most of any section in your yard or garden. This natural stoneware product is handcrafted and decorated; therefore, each bath will have a unique color and texture that will not be replicated. The glazed finish will make a statement for years to come while at the same time protecting your bath.

This bird bath has a bowl depth of 3 inches; however, the ideal bathing depth for birds is 1.5 to 2 inches. You can simply fill the bath with 1.5 to 2 inches of water, or you can take the decorative approach and use polished stones or similar items to raise the level water level while keeping the bird safe. The base of the pedestal is roughly 10 inches in diameter, providing weight and stability. Please note that the base and pedestal are seperate pieces adhesive is recommended. Made in USA.

This bird bath is a beautiful addition to my backyard garden, the cobalt blue provides a striking contrast to the daylilies behind it and compliments the rest of the flowers. The bowl needs stabilizing to avoid toppling from any marauding cats ( I use a wax ring from the hardware store used to install toilets!) and I wish the base was more color saturated, but the hostas will cover when they mature, but overall a very pretty bird bath.

I love the cobalt blue color - it really pops in the garden. It doesn't seem to attract birds, however. And, despite the heavy weight, the bowl
can be tipped over by other critters. I am not sure if it is squirrels, cats, or whatever, but ours has been knocked off several times. Once without breakage, the second it broke but we glued back together and glued to stand, the third time it was shattered.
