This bird bath has a bowl depth of 3 inches; however, the ideal bathing depth for birds is 1.5 to 2 inches. You can simply fill the bath with 1.5 to 2 inches of water, or you can take the decorative approach and use polished stones or similar items to raise the level water level while keeping the bird safe. The base of the pedestal is roughly 10 inches in diameter, providing weight and stability. Made in the USA.

I've had as many as four mourning dove in it at one time. I can look out at it while sitting at my dining room table. I used a bird friendly water sealant in the dish. The adhesive to attach the base worked great.

I use this product to attract birds in the Northeast section of USA. The birds use it everyday. It is beautiful, but I feel it is badly constructed because it tips over and ends up on the ground because of the squirrels climbing on it. If it were designed to screw into the base, it wouldn't tip over. I've put rocks in the top to steady it, but the same problem happened again. So I've taken the top off and put that on the ground. Problem solved. I'll be using the base to set some plant pots on, for decoration.

The picture does not do this justice, it's absolutely beautiful. I bought this for a friend and they are just thrilled with it. I'd get one myself, but I have small children, need I say more! So I can still enjoy it at my friends house, they have a scenic backyard with a pond, trees, etc. The bird bath was meant to be there!

This birdbath is beautiful and birds were investigating it soon after we put water in it. It is the perfect size and so beautifully painted. Knew it was a hit when a bluebird hopped in and began splashing about. What a gorgeous site! Goldfinches, cardinals, house wrens, a bluejay and a mocking bird have all visited for a drink. The ceramic makes it sturdy but not too heavy to work with for cleaning, filling. This is a great gift!

I purchased this bird bath for my husband for his birthday! He was thrilled because he is a "bird lover". We already had cascading flat rock in our flower garden and the bird bath is just "stunning" sitting in the middle of all the wild flowers! Everyone that sees the bird bath remark on how pretty it is! We are very happy with it
