Minutes after I placed my new Trieste Birdbath in the center of newly created flowerbed, a bird flew in, perched on the side took a drink and then had a bath! The birdbath's low dimensions are perfect for our side yard that is frequently hit with high winds off the lake. But best of all, the simple, elegant lines of the Trieste are pleasing to the eye. My only complaint is the greenstone finish is not uniform. Some parts of the bath are almost white, but the overall effect is one of aged stone. In time, I think it will weather nicely.

I was looking for a low birdbath for a specific spot in my garden. It's not that heavy, but heavy enough that it's never been knocked over. I leave it out all winter.

I was looking for a small footprint, large basin bird bath for my back yard/deck and the Trieste bird bath in Aged Limestone is a perfect fit. The concrete is weighty and won't be overturned by any number of critters or strong winds. And the color blends well with the weathered deck and large ash tree that shades it. The low pedestal allows me to place the bath on my wide, low deck railing near my squirrel proof feeder but would be equally well suited placed on the ground amidst my hostas and day lilies. The wide rim of the basin allows for multiple smaller birds (chickadees, nuthatches, goldfinches...) to drink at the same time and the larger birds (robins, blue jays, cardinals...) are constantly kicking up waves in the deep basin without emptying its contents completely.
