Bird safetyThis bird bath is 3 inches deep. The ideal bathing depth for birds is 1.5 to 2 inches. You can simply fill the bath with 1.5 to 2 inches of water, or you can take the decorative approach and use polished stones or similar items to raise the water level while keeping the bird safe.

Recommended care: Proper maintenance is recommended to protect this product from the freeze-thaw cycles that occur in winter. Do not leave the bird bath top outside in winter, because once the top fills with water/snow and freezes, the top may crack. The bird bath base should be raised up off the ground in winter so it will not freeze to the ground surface.
